My artistic practice explores the themes of "Black trauma, identity, and family relations", emphasizing their cyclical nature through the use of Tondos (circular canvases). These circular canvases represent the cycle of the absent father's behavioral patterns and habits. The process includes gathering childhood photographs; these photographs tell the stories in an archival way and show how history can be embedded in an image, as some pictures invoke the past.
